Aside from our corporate worship gathering on Sunday afternoon, we believe that true, life-giving, biblical community and faithful discipleship is best lived out through our small group model. This model is not perfect or flawless but at Hope, we are committed to gospel-centered, bible-studying, accoutability-oriented small groups. Writing to the church in Ephesus, Paul urges the Ephesian believers to remain steadfast in biblical unity:
"Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love" (Eph. 4:15-16).
We envision our small group model to be outward-reaching instead of inward-focused. What does this mean? In short, our small groups are open! We treat our small groups like family, who invite others in to believe and live out the truths of the gospel.
What to Expect at Small Group?
Hope Small Groups meet at people's homes in the evening throughout the week. Our time is split into two halves, each about an hour. During the first half we dive into God's word, studying the Scriptures together as we strive to encourage, challenge, and build one another up. For the second half, men and women split up for a time of accountability, fellowship, and prayer.
